The AYBT was established in 1995, by a board of directors to carry out a mission. This mission it to provide an opportunity for players to improve their basketball skills in game situations without the pressure of having to win. Teams do not have to win to advance and play. Our goal is to maximize the court time for our teams. We take this one step futher by doing our best to match teams by playing ability, therefore putting teams in close game situations that players can learn and improve.

The American Youth Basketball TOUR is looking for district directors in the following states: IA, MO, MN, WI, IL, KY, IN, OH, PA, NY, MD, ME,VT, NH, CT, VA, WV, TN, NC, SC, GA, FL, AL, MS, AK and LA. We are also open to the idea of developing the AYBT into other states across the United States. If you are from a state not listed above, we would require at least five qualified individuals to be interested from your state in order to bring AYBT to your state. We offer great compensation packages compared to other summer organizations.
Job description would include:
- Recruit and/or organize teams in your area.
- Organize/administrate a district series event (basketball tournament).
We are looking for people who have a background in basketball or organizing basketball tournaments. This is a great summer job for high school basketball coaches and gives coaches the opportunity to develop their feeder system. It also allows high school coaches a great way to make money that can be used personally or put back into your program. People who also operate basketball facilities will find this is a great way to earn reveune for your facility.
